free sensory activity

So last week Kroger had rice on sale for 1.00 I had 6 .50 off coupons that double at my store so I bought 6 bags.  Guess what  my hubby doesnt eat white rice.  I figured I could keep a couple of bags and we could eat while he was out of town and donate the rest..  Then I got this brilliant idea I remember when Hayden was in therapy we would use rice and dried beans as sensory activites... So we poured 2 bags of rice in the neglected sandbox that still doesnt have any sand in it. so far Hayden has been playing it for 30 minutes...  So sometimes those items u think you would never buy come into money makers my free rice = one happy kid which = one happy mommy
